Peabody (voiced by Ty Burrell) is an extraordinary little dog with unparalleled high intelligence, destined for a life vastly different from that of his canine peers. He holds a degree from Harvard, has successfully developed new energy sources, resolved geopolitical conflicts, and founded his own company. By chance, Peabody adopts Sherman (voiced by Max Charles), a young human orphan with a similar background. Like a devoted father, he meticulously educates his son, using the time machine he invented to take Sherman back to every pivotal moment in history, allowing him to experience firsthand the dry events described in textbooks. In the blink of an eye, Sherman reaches school age. His extensive historical knowledge earns praise from his teacher but also provokes jealousy and bullying from the proud little girl, Penny Peterson (voiced by Ariel Winter). The conflict between Sherman and Penny plunges Peabody into an unprecedented predicament.
