On the remote island of Kongo Bongo Island in the distant sea, Donkey Kong accidentally discovers the Crystal Coconut in the jungle. The Crystal Coconut possesses immense power, and if misused, it could even enable world domination. Noticing this, King K. Rool and his gang attempt to seize the Crystal Coconut in order to take over the island. Meanwhile, Cranky Kong hides the Crystal Coconut in his own home and decides to fight alongside Donkey and the others to protect the peace of the island.
