"A Pig Falling from the Sky" is an animated series with Chinese cultural characteristics, planned and produced by the local Hubei enterprise Wuhan Jiangtong Company. With an investment exceeding 8 million yuan and taking three years to complete, the comedic talents of the cartoon character Zhu Bajie and the hilarious stars of the Heavenly Court are enough to rival Stephen Chow's nonsensical films.
Marshal Tianpeng, who was banished to the mortal world by the Jade Emperor for pursuing Chang'e, attempted to escape during his escort but mistakenly ended up in the body of a pig. From then on, he began a thrilling life of escape in the forest.
Guanyin Bodhisattva gave him a bottle of "Lingzhi Dew," but it was accidentally spilled by the local earth god, turning Tianpeng into Zhu Bajie with a pig's head and a human body. Dissatisfied with his appearance, Bajie returned to the Heavenly Palace. However, his gluttony caused him to miss the perfect opportunity to plead his case to the Jade Emperor, and he was humiliated by his former deputy, Fudi. In a fit of rage, Bajie dug open the Heavenly River.
Fudi, who was also dismissed from his post, was banished to the mortal world. To drive away the mice and wild boars from his temple, the earth god hired Bajie as a security guard. Bajie accidentally defeated the wild boars but was helpless against the cunning mice. Fudi used a divide-and-conquer strategy to eliminate the mouse infestation in the earth god's temple, while Bajie, framed by Fudi, was driven out by the earth god.
Fudi almost became Bajie's shadow, constantly playing tricks on him and making him look foolish. One of them learns from his mistakes, the other outsmarts himself; one stumbles into good fortune, the other reaps what he sows. Together, they unfold a series of wonderfully humorous stories.
