The full title of the theatrical version is "Time of Eve," which is a re-edited version of the web series with newly added footage. The story is set in a future Japan, an era where robots have long been integrated into daily life and humanoid robots have just become practical. Influenced by the Robot Ethics Committee, treating robots as "household appliances" has become common sense. Those who show concern for robots, which are indistinguishable from humans except for the halo above their heads, are even labeled as "holo-heads," evolving into a social issue. High school student Rikuo has been raised to never regard robots as human, but rather to use them as convenient tools. One day, Rikuo discovers strange words in the activity logs of his household robot, Sammy. When he and his friend Masaki follow Sammy to her destination, they find a peculiar shop that operates under the principle that "humans and robots are the same"...
