东游记之八仙外传

"Journey to the East: The Eight Immortals' Legend" is a Chinese mythological animated series produced by Wuxi Miaosi Animation Design Co., Ltd. Co-directed by Li Shen and Zuo Xiujuan, with screenwriting by Zuo Xiujuan and Wu Xinbai, the series began filming in August 2010 and was completed in April 2011. It consists of 60 episodes, each 13 minutes long. The theme song, "Free and Unfettered Journey," features lyrics by Lu Zhiming, music by Lin Yixin, and was originally performed by Wu Jiaming. In the fourth quarter of 2011, the production unit changed the original title "Three Caverns Guests' Cloud Journey" to "Journey to the East Sequel." In January 2026, the series aired on the "Revisiting Classics" channel. Based on the legend of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, the story follows Iron-Crutch Li, Han Zhongli, Zhang Guolao, and the other immortals as they achieve enlightenment through various paths. United in their mission to save the world, they overcome hardships, cross the sea, and ultimately succeed.
