"Magical Sweet Prism Nana" was born from the dream collaboration project between illustrator Kantoku and SHAFT.
It began around the time production on "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" ended, sparked by the idea of "what would happen if SHAFT were to depict a 'new magical girl'?"
First, an original song was created as the foundation, and a promotional video was produced based on that track.
It was built on a novel approach: "Each director was kept completely unaware of what the others were creating, separately depicting their own image of a magical girl."
The completed "seven-colored promotional videos" were released in 2012, and "Magical Sweet Prism Nana" instantly became a hot topic.
