On a weekend night, Tom's house is empty, and he is thrilled, hanging a sign in the window that reads "No One Home." His rowdy friends Butch, Topsy, and Lightning hear the news and head over. It's a night of revelry for the cats, though they must stay wary of the big dog Spike, who is snoring loudly in the yard. Today, Butch brings a new gadget—a small home projector—and plans to entertain everyone with a video about foolish dogs. However, not all members of the house get to watch; the little mouse Jerry is roughly thrown out before the screening begins. The first story in the video comes from "Solid Serenade," where Tom courts a lover while teasing Spike. Next are two more stories, from "Cat Fishin'" and "Fit to Be Tied." Tom's sly wit and Spike's clumsy, foolish antics have the cats roaring with laughter. Meanwhile, Jerry, who wants to watch the video, is repeatedly thrown out the window, leaving him utterly furious...
