On a sunny day, the big dog Spike is enthusiastically building his own doghouse. Holding blueprints, he joyfully imagines how the doghouse will look once completed, and of course, plans to hang a "Home, Sweet Home" sign at the entrance. However, two unexpected guests disrupt his plans. After a symphony of clattering pots and pans, the little mouse Jerry and the old cat Tom rush out of the house one after another. Carried away by the chase, Tom grabs a wooden plank from the doghouse to pursue Jerry, which greatly annoys Spike. Spike catches Tom and warns them not to ruin his construction project. 　　 With a formidable enemy before him, Tom readily agrees. But as soon as he escapes from Spike's paw, he resumes his relentless pursuit of Jerry. Poor Spike, who has worked so hard to build his doghouse, finds it repeatedly and mercilessly destroyed...
