The morning sun rises, its warm light filling every corner of the yard, even reaching the mouse hole tucked away in the corner, where the sunlight beckons. Jerry wakes from a sweet dream, while the little one beside him is still fast asleep. Glancing at the calendar on the wall, Jerry is delighted to discover that today is July 4th, American Independence Day. Overjoyed, he wakes the little mouse. The tiny one, still in diapers, is even more excited than Jerry and pulls out an entire box of fireworks, ready to set them off outside. As the primary guardian, Jerry naturally won’t allow the little one to engage in such dangerous activities. He snatches the fireworks from the little one’s hands, giving him only children’s toys to play with instead. Unwilling to give in, the little one repeatedly pulls out secretly stashed firecrackers, leaving Jerry’s face covered in soot time and again.
Meanwhile, Tom secretly plots against Jerry. Seeing his beloved Uncle Jerry in trouble, the little one engages in a fierce fireworks battle with Tom...
