Once upon a time, there was an old-fashioned ceiling fan with an electric light, living with its owner—an elderly woman—in an old apartment. Life in the apartment was quiet and dull, and the ceiling fan, lonely and bored, spent its days suspended from the ceiling.
One day, the old woman brought home a potted flower. The arrival of the flower filled the fan with excitement. It tried every possible way to show off, hoping to catch the flower’s attention. At first reserved, the flower gradually warmed to the fan’s enthusiasm, and the blossom of love bloomed passionately. Though they never touched, they gazed at each other from just inches apart, whispering their affections.
As the old woman grew increasingly forgetful, dust gathered on the fan, and the flower began to wither from lack of water. Faced with its weakening beloved, the fan grew deeply worried…
