"Pippi Longstocking" is a 26-episode animated series co-produced by Sweden, Germany, and Canada. It is adapted from the 1945 fairy tale of the same name by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren and first aired in 1997. The series was jointly directed by Michaël Schaack and Clive A. Smith and was introduced and broadcast by China Central Television's Movie Channel on September 17, 2005.
The story revolves around the red-haired girl Pippi, who possesses the extraordinary strength to lift a horse with one hand. With her free-spirited personality, she embarks on fantastical adventures alongside her friends Anika and Tommy.
