The five members—Rei Ichido, Go Hiemasu, Kiyoshi Dase, Jin Ohma, and Hiroshi Monoboshi—who ostensibly attend Ichido Middle School, each possess wildly eccentric and chaotic personalities, such as repeating grades in middle school, and are regarded by those around them as the notorious group "The Odd-Face Crew." Transfer student Yui Kawakawa, along with her classmate Chie Uruchi, witnesses the "Odd-Face Crew" in action and, intrigued by their presence, begins to spend time with them. Additionally, Ichido Middle School is home to various distinctive groups: the popular-with-girls "Handsome Crew" led by Kakeru Kiride, the delinquent group "The Gang" led by Yō Hitsuda, the sports-savvy "Muscle Crew" led by Kai Undo, and the skateboarding girl gang "The Ladies' Crew" led by Jako Amano. Time flies swiftly from their encounters, and they soon welcome a new spring───.
