The "defective" stone spirit Shi Ji, left behind after Nüwa mended the heavens, was exiled to Skeleton Mountain due to jealousy and resentment from her fellow disciples. To redeem her disgrace, Shi Ji sought to forge the sinister treasure "Taixu Mirror" to intimidate the immortal realm, but her grand scheme was disrupted when mortal children stumbled into her domain. In the end, Shi Ji chose to let go of her obsessions and, by "becoming a mountain," fulfilled her own act of "mending the heavens."
