During the Qianlong era, Hu Changshou discovered the extraordinary book "Tiangong Kaiwu," but was demoted and exiled because of it. He and his friend Wu Qing applied the techniques from the book and achieved a bountiful harvest, only to be framed by the powerful and corrupt. Hu Changshou fled to Japan, where he spread the knowledge of "Tiangong Kaiwu." The book had a profound and lasting impact, earning the title "The Seventeenth-Century Chinese Encyclopedia of Technology."
