Estonian puppet animation, Morten is a 10-year-old dreamer. His father is sailing at sea aboard the Salamander. Aunt Anna, who takes care of Morten, is an annoying and shrewd woman. Morten plays house with his toy boat and bugs. One day, Morten magically shrinks and wakes up on his toy boat—though he is thrilled to become a real captain, the bugs are now as big as he is, and the adults in this "real world" bear an uncanny resemblance to those in his own... A storm is coming, and the toy boat is sinking. Morten must save the ship and return to the real world...
