学の夏休み～伝えよう 日本のこころ～

Gaku, a 10-year-old boy raised in the city, loves video games. One day during summer vacation, Gaku is taken by his mother to his father's childhood home in the mountains. There, his grandmother, his uncle and aunt, and his cousin Kiyomi—who is the same age—are waiting for him. Left alone, Gaku immediately goes fishing with Kiyomi, but he is bewildered by the unfamiliar experience. Frustrated by the unsatisfactory results, Gaku grows irritable. He doesn't get along with the village children, and even his grandmother's cooking doesn't suit his taste.
