When adolescence meets menopause, who truly understands the taste of life?
Lin Xiao has studied diligently into her senior year of high school, right in the midst of adolescence. Heavy academic burdens, parental expectations, societal pressures, along with the curiosity toward the opposite sex and hazy feelings of love brought on by physiological changes—how much psychological pressure must a girl (and boys too) bear while walking the single-plank bridge of the college entrance exam, crowded with thousands? To make matters worse, her mother has reached menopause. Similarly, physiological changes have made her suspicious of her husband at every turn, while her excessively high expectations for her daughter have led to discipline so strict it borders on unreasonable.
The gap between overly high expectations and harsh reality is too vast, making this year with a college-bound student at home anything but peaceful and truly unforgettable. So many troubles, so many worries—and these troubles and worries are downright hilarious.
