"Wulong Boy" is set against the backdrop of the Maritime Silk Road. Using modern high-tech methods and personification, it narrates the extraordinary journey of Chinese tea culture—a symbol of peace and friendship—as it spreads across the world despite numerous hardships. Through a series of vivid, humorous, and thrilling short stories, the anime weaves together a profound modern fairy tale, allowing young audiences to appreciate the origins and essence of traditional Chinese tea culture while being entertained.
The first series of "Wulong Boy," titled "The Journey of Calling Tea" (26 episodes), primarily follows Wulong Boy as he leads tea spirits and companions to various famous tea-producing regions in search of 21 magical tea seeds to save the Yunding Tea Garden. The second series, "The Journey of Tea Competition," and the third series, "The Journey of the Maritime Silk Road," have not yet been aired. The subsequent work, "Wulong Boy: Adventure on Lohas Island," is not part of these three series but is an independent story with modified settings under the same premise.
