嫦娥奔月

After Hou Yi shot down the suns and was granted the elixir of immortality, Chang'e proposed a grand vision. The couple painstakingly crafted the divine medicine and journeyed to Shennong's ancient homeland in search of miraculous methods. The traitor Pang Meng hatched a treacherous plot, leading Chang'e to swallow the elixir and ascend to the Moon Palace. Hou Yi, weeping, remembered Chang'e's aspiration and spread the medicinal formula to benefit all under heaven. Later generations worship the moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrating and emulating the virtuous spirit of Chang'e's sacrifice.
