On a scorching summer day, Nobita (voiced by Noriko Ohara) hops and skips along a small path. Today is August 7th, Nobita's birthday, and he is filled with anticipation, hoping to receive praise and birthday gifts from everyone. However, things do not go as planned—Nobita ends up getting scolded harshly by his parents. At this moment, his mood is as gloomy as the thunderstorm outside, utterly miserable. Returning to his room, the heartbroken Nobita packs his bags and runs away from home, but no matter where he goes in the city, he cannot find a place to belong. Just then, Doraemon (voiced by Nobuyo Ōyama) finds Nobita. To prove to him that he truly is a member of the Nobi family, Doraemon takes his friend on a time machine to the day Nobita was born. Witnessing his own birth and seeing the deep hopes his parents held for him, Nobita begins to understand something profound... This film is a bonus short attached to the 2002 Doraemon movie "Nobita and the Robot Kingdom."
