The anime "Shaolin Haibao" follows the story of "Big River Kid," who has long been immersed in the culture of Shaolin in the Central Plains, along with the Shanghai World Expo mascot "Haibao" and their companions Fan Xiqie and the dog Douglas. To prevent the evil Dark War God from obtaining the Five-Colored Buddha Beads and to protect Shaolin Temple, they travel through a time tunnel from the modern era to ancient Middle-earth. There, they train under masters in martial arts and engage in fierce battles against the Dark War God.
