The film premiered at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 6, 2011, and was shown as a short before "Brave" on June 22, 2012.
Under the deep blue night sky, in the tranquil and profound center of the sea, a small boat named "La Luna" gently rocks. On board are three generations of a family: a grandfather with a long white beard, a strong and robust father, and a young boy with clear, bright, sparkling eyes. The grandfather presents his grandson with a hat, seemingly symbolizing the beginning of an important ritual. For the boy, this may be the proof of his transition into manhood. Yet, since ancient times, while generations depend on one another, there is always an ideological gap between them—what remains unbreakable is the bond of blood. Unnoticed, the full moon, glowing with a milky-white radiance, rises from the sea and hangs suspended in the night sky. The father sets up a ladder, and the boy climbs it with an iron anchor on his back. It turns out that the source of the light is actually stars scattered all over the moon's surface. They traverse the universe, falling like meteors, adorning this beautiful little planet.
The waxing and waning, like an eternal promise unchanged through the ages...
