After a revival following a gap of nearly eight years, this series, unlike its predecessor which introduced numerous innovations, adheres to a fundamentally orthodox narrative style while incorporating eventful episodes throughout. It features enjoyable segments such as one highlighting popular author Natsuhiko Kyogoku and another with guest star Shiro Sano, receiving support from celebrities who are fans of original creator Shigeru Mizuki. Additionally, the introduction of vivid digital coloring midway through the program in early 1997 was particularly striking.
