In an ordinary small town in England, in the dead of night, all is silent. Inside a common house, a man lies fast asleep in bed. Through an omniscient, transparent perspective, the audience sees the state inside the man's body. The heart and lungs work tirelessly day and night, steadfastly holding their posts. The brain closes its eyes, immersed in dreams. The stomach and intestines, exhausted from a day's labor, also enter a state of rest. Just then, the alarm clock rings, and the man jolts awake instantly. At the same time, his brain is forcibly booted up, swiftly transmitting the signal of awakening to every organ within his body. Immediately after, the man gets up and begins his daily routine. However, his lifestyle seems far from healthy—smoking, drinking, overeating—he abuses his body relentlessly and cares not at all. Finally, one day, his heart can no longer bear the strain and gives out. The man is rushed to the hospital, and after intense emergency treatment, he barely clings to life.
Only, the moment he opens his eyes, he forgets the pain as soon as the wound heals...
