Downtown is an American animated sitcom created by Chris Prynoski that aired on MTV from August 3 to November 8, 1999. Prynoski himself isn’t sure why the show was cancelled after its 13th episode. The show follows a diverse and multiracial cast of young people living in an urban area of New York City, depicting their everyday lives. The series is based on interviews with real people.
