To retrieve the Pearl for his sister Jin Feng, Zhu Pei ventured into the Dragon’s Prison Pavilion under cover of night, only to vanish without a trace. Following the faint clues left behind before Zhu Pei’s disappearance, the Thunder God investigated both openly and in secret, eventually uncovering the whereabouts of the Pearl. In order to rescue Zhu Pei and reclaim the Pearl, Jin Feng, along with Yu Long and the Water Spirit, stormed the Heavenly Court and bravely charged into the Dragon’s Prison Pavilion. In a fit of rage, the Queen Mother of the West hurled the Pearl down to the mortal realm, where it transformed into West Lake. To protect it for all eternity, Jin Feng and Yu Long themselves turned into two great mountains, standing silently by the shores of West Lake.
