"The Epic of Huangdi" chronicles the journey of primitive tribes from division and conflict toward unity and integration. It tells the story of Xuanyuan Huangdi, the revered ancestor of Chinese civilization, who studied under a master on Jucishan Mountain. Carrying the totem stone of the Youxiong clan, he traveled across the land, formed an alliance with Emperor Yan to unify the two great tribes of the Central Plains, and defeated Chiyu, integrating the Dongyi and Jiuli tribes into the Huaxia community of the Central Plains. The series vividly portrays the magnificent and moving development of the Chinese nation. At the same time, it recreates ancient civilizations, including the creation of writing, metal smelting, silk weaving, and more.
"The Epic of Huangdi" divides Huangdi's life into three major parts: "The Union of the Six Tribes," "The Union of Yan and Huang," and "The Union of All Under Heaven." Each part consists of 26 episodes, totaling 78 episodes.
