Kong Xiaoxi, who comes from a family of culinary experts, travels to Saudi Arabia as part of a Sino-Saudi student exchange program. Both she and her brother Kong Xiaodong are highly skilled in cooking Chinese cuisine. By chance, Kong Xiaoxi meets Hakim, whose family happens to own a restaurant. However, Hakim's family restaurant faces a threat from the newly opened French restaurant across the street—Restaurant Laman. Pierre, the owner of Restaurant Laman, even intends to acquire Hakim's struggling family restaurant. In order to save Hakim's restaurant, Kong Xiaoxi and Kong Xiaodong introduce Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients into Hakim's kitchen. This leads to a series of hilarious and entertaining stories.
