Duncan Jones is set to direct a film adaptation of the comic "Rogue Trooper," created by Dave Gibbons (Watchmen) and Gerry Finley-Day. "Rogue Trooper" is one of the main storylines in "2000 AD," one of the world's greatest and longest-running sci-fi comic series. The story takes place on a polluted and war-torn planet. The protagonist, Rogue Trooper, is one of the genetically enhanced elite soldiers created through bioengineering and cloning. He can breathe and walk on the planet's toxic surface, designed to fight against the planet's opposing faction, the Republic. However, his genetic material is sold to the enemy nation by higher-ups, leading him on a journey of revenge.
