Red-end's closest friend, Redback, ventures into the forest in search of red peppers, only to stumble upon a massive bio-industrial complex of carnivorous plants. He is captured by a pitcher plant and taken to a meat processing factory by slave ants. Meanwhile, Red-end is disturbed by a troubling dream and sets off in pursuit of his friend. Along the way, he saves Goldfly from the clutches of a Venus flytrap. By sabotaging the meat factory, they manage to free Redback and liberate the enslaved ants.
