A fly circles around a light bulb, a spoon stirs in a cup. Everything here moves in circles, including the lives of this couple. He looks at his phone, she does her aerobics, but even when she somersaults right in front of him, he doesn’t look up. 　　"Misaligned" is a work by Polish director Marta Magnuska, selected for the International Competition of Short Films at the 2022 Locarno Film Festival. The director previously had her earlier work "The Other" shortlisted for the Cinéfondation section of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. With its minimalist charcoal sketch animation and exquisite sound design, "Misaligned" powerfully portrays a troubled marriage, making it an exceptionally imaginative experimental animation.
