When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes back at you. Some monkeys are born in the dark, filthy gutters, but when they look up, they notice monkeys above them—monkeys who are watching them. The monkeys above whisper among themselves, "Look how pitiful those creatures in the dark corners are." And the creatures in the dark corners truly believe it. They climb upward, only to fall back down in the end. Lying on their backs, they look up at the sky above—a white sky. And the monkeys above continue to observe the dark corners—the black sludge.
