This film centers on the theme of the "Chinese Dream" and features the renowned anti-French general Feng Zicai as its main character. Through the use of high technology, it vividly portrays many tragic scenes from the First and Second Opium Wars on the television screen, "recreating the scene" of the decisive victory at Zhennanguan led by Feng Zicai through animation.
In the late Qing Dynasty, French forces invaded China's southwestern border. The nearly seventy-year-old veteran general Feng Zicai was called upon in a time of crisis. With a crumbling Qing Dynasty behind him and facing the well-equipped French army, Feng Zicai stepped onto the front lines under immense pressure and with the determination of a warrior ready to sacrifice everything. He trained troops, prepared for battle, surveyed the terrain, gathered intelligence, and also won over the unruly commanders while gaining the support of the local people. After meticulous defensive preparations, in order to disrupt the French army's deployment, the old general decided to take the enemy by surprise, strike first, and catch them off guard. The successful raid not only boosted the morale of his own side but also lured the enemy into a pre-arranged encirclement. At Zhennanguan, the white-haired general led the charge, fighting bravely and turning the tide of the entire Sino-French War.
