聊斋之罗刹海市

The dandy Ma Ji travels with a merchant caravan, but after a shipwreck, he drifts to the Rakshasa Kingdom, a land where ugliness is prized as beauty, where he experiences a series of extraordinary adventures and hardships. Awakened by his journey, Ma Ji pleads for the welfare of the people, earning the admiration of the Dragon King, who then bestows his daughter’s hand in marriage upon him. However, years later, the two are separated due to Ma Ji’s lingering ties in the mortal world, leaving them to live apart, longing for each other across the distance.
