In terms of the timeline, it is positioned between the end of the Gōdes arc and the Emperor Alien arc (as seen in elements such as the Heavy Armored Steel, the Delta Star, and the depiction of the Great Demon King Mefilas in the Emperor Alien arc). This series marked the final involvement of Tokyo Laboratory, which had been responsible for the film processing of the Ultra Series up to that point (the laboratory for works following this one is IMAGICA). In December 2014, a limited DVD edition was sold, which included a set of 14 reprinted Gashapon figures as a bonus. In November 2017, the series was streamed for a limited time on Ultra Channel, divided into four episodes.
