9-year-old Haibeibei is a curious and adventurous girl, whose straightforward and helpful nature makes her highly popular among her friends. Around Haibeibei, there is always a group of loyal companions with distinct personalities. They include: Gu Xiaowen, a timid, talkative, bespectacled boy with a keen interest in bizarre and unusual things; Yi Lanlan, an adorable yet timid little girl who always hides behind Haibeibei like a doll; Yuan Qiuqiu, an overweight boy with an IQ of 250 but slow movements, appearing foolish yet wise; and Wu Shifei, a former truancy king who loves to act cool and aspires to become a true man.
