Five centuries later, Crown Prince Ji Yechen of Southern Zhou, who had been recuperating from illness on Kunlun Mountain, received news of his father's passing. He rushed back overnight to Southern Zhou to ascend the throne, but along the way, he was relentlessly pursued and ambushed by various unknown forces. During his escape, he fortuitously encountered Puppeteer Shi, the sole disciple of the elder Puppeteer, who had descended the mountain in search of her master. Little did they know, the conspiracy surrounding them had only just begun to unfold.
