To celebrate the piggies' victory over the villainous Storm Front, Sun City once again hosts a lively hero's feast. However, a sudden tremor shatters the festive atmosphere. It turns out that a massive surge of magma has suddenly flooded Skyward City. The piggies rush to the surface to carry out rescue operations but end up trapped in the Lower Nine Heavens. They decide to venture into the Earth's core in search of the Five Spirit Elements to resolve this crisis, only to discover along the way that Storm Front has not actually been defeated. The piggies battle them relentlessly, facing constant dangers without ever losing heart, but the appearance of Dark Cloud seems to deal them a fatal blow...
