Released on March 6, 1999. This is the first theatrical film of "Yu-Gi-Oh!" produced by Toei. It was released the year after the TV series ended, with both staff and cast from the TV Asahi version. The story is set after the initial duel with Kaiba, depicting a rematch between Yugi and Kaiba over the rare card "Red-Eyes Black Dragon," which was accidentally obtained by a timid boy named Shogo Aoyama.
This 30-minute short film showcases the wholesome style characteristic of Toei productions. However, the art style is closer to the original manga compared to the TV version, featuring sharper designs similar to the later TV Tokyo version (notable changes include the card back design matching the official product, Kaiba's hair color changing from green in the TV version to brown, and duel depictions aligning more closely with the original manga, making it a prototype for the TV Tokyo version).
