For years, the director has been unable to get his grandfather to speak about his experiences in the Algerian War. He diligently researches, attempts to recreate the past through his own creative work, interviews Algerian women, questions relatives and friends, and even seeks psychological counseling... But is he truly prepared to face the truth? And what exactly is the truth? Reality and historical imagination, depicted in two distinct artistic styles, finally converge in a single frame.
