On a bitterly cold winter night with howling winds, an old woman, barely clothed, struggled along her way. Suddenly, a glowing ball of yarn rolled to her feet. The old woman picked it up, but finding the yarn too scant, she set it down and prepared to continue her journey. At that moment, the ball of yarn transformed into a little yarn lamb. To her delight, the old woman discovered that this lamb was an inexhaustible treasure trove. With it, she not only knitted warm clothing but also wove a cozy room and various daily necessities.
The sudden change in the old woman’s living conditions aroused the curiosity of her impoverished neighbors, who flocked to her door to see for themselves. Hiding the lamb, the old woman invited them inside and secretly continued to knit all sorts of luxurious items. Amidst beautiful, cheerful music, the poor people embraced and danced. Glancing at her own wrinkled face, the old woman thought of knitting a youthful visage. Unbeknownst to her, the little lamb hiding in the shadows was already utterly exhausted.
Aimed at adult audiences. This film is based on a fairy tale by Ovsey Driz.
