The narration is performed by an illustrious cast including Rie Miyazawa, Shiho Fujimura, Kaoru Kobayashi, Kaori Momoi, and Tatsuya Fuji. The collection comprises all 12 stories: "The Story of a Whale Too Big Who Fell in Love with a Little Submarine," "The Mother Who Became a Kite," "The Story of the Old She-Wolf and the Little Girl," "The Story of the Blue Parrot and the Skinny Boy," "The Story of the Dried-Up Elephant and the Elephant Handler," "The Red Dragonfly and the Stink Bug," "August Balloon," "The Prisoner of War and the Little Girl," "Soldier's Family," "The Horse and the Soldier," "My Air-Raid Shelter," and "The Candy Tree on the Scorched Earth."
