Mina and her father John have always relied on each other, until John meets the new love of his life—Helen! John and Helen are about to get married, and Mina gains a new sister, Jenny, turning her world upside down. Jenny is an incredibly mean girl who keeps trying to drive away Mina’s beloved guinea pig friend. Feeling miserable, Mina refuses to live with her new sister. One day, by chance, Mina stumbles into the fantastical wonderland of dreams—a bizarre and surreal realm filled with countless stages for crafting dreams. Here, one can ride whales soaring freely through the sky or bask in the sunlight amidst golden wheat fields. What amazes Mina even more is her discovery that these dreams can be projected into reality, allowing her to change the unsatisfactory aspects of her life through them. Thus, Mina embarks on a bold and adventurous journey, filled with tension, excitement, and warmth. "Drømmebyggerne" was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 93rd Academy Awards, competing alongside popular films such as "Soul" and "Wolfwalkers."
