"2 Stupid Dogs" revolves around a big dog and a little dog, who, as the title suggests, aren't the brightest, and their daily misadventures. The series features an animation style unconventional for its time: a very flat, simplistic aesthetic reminiscent of early Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the '50s and '60s, yet infused with early '90s humor and sensibility. Additionally, the Big Dog speaks far less than the Little Dog, who mostly talks about food. Similar to many humorous cartoons and sitcoms, it lacked a serialized structure. The show did not follow a continuous storyline—events in one episode have little to no impact on the next. "2 Stupid Dogs" included very brief sexual innuendos, much like other contemporary cartoons such as "Rocko's Modern Life."
