A desolate wasteland, devoid of any sign of life near or far. Countless men clad in black-and-white striped prison uniforms drag heavy shackles and cannonballs, wandering aimlessly across the wilderness. One man tries to light a cigarette for a companion. With all his might, he raises his arm, only to fail in the end and have the cannonball smash his foot. The injured prisoner sits down to rest, when suddenly he is captivated by a beam of light above him. Following that light, the man climbs onto a mysterious, unfathomable structure. Perhaps driven by humanity's inherent curiosity, he attempts to climb toward the unseen top of the structure. The sunlight is scorching and harsh, yet he refuses to give up. Midway through his climb, the two cannonballs seem to lose their weight, floating like balloons, and the stripes on his body also appear to break free, floating as if trying to escape him. 　　 As gravity shifts, the man seems to enter another world...
