Immortality is a state that humanity has always pursued but never attained. Although humans cannot make themselves immortal, they have created a substance that is everlasting—plastic.
In daily life, the demand for plastic bags is immense. Due to their lightweight and inexpensive nature, various plastic products are continuously developed and produced.
For their own convenience, humans ceaselessly manufacture, use, and discard plastic bags. Because they are non-biodegradable and cannot be recycled, they can only linger in this world as superfluous molecules.
"Miss Daizi" (Bag) was born under such circumstances. We employ a narrative technique that begins with a flashback. At the start of the story, Miss Daizi attempts suicide. This leads to the revelation of her past life and love—once cherished but quickly abandoned. The love that comforted her when the world cast her aside was as fleeting as a昙花一现 (ephemeral bloom). Thus, she chooses to end her life.
But... who could have known that a thousand years later, her non-biodegradable nature would force her to linger in a world that no longer belongs to her...
