The little mermaid fell in love with a human prince. In order to marry the prince, she sought out the sea witch who lived in the depths of the ocean. The sea witch agreed to give the little mermaid a pair of human legs, but in exchange, the little mermaid had to surrender her tongue. Moreover, if the little mermaid ultimately failed to marry the prince, she would die and turn into sea foam. 　　Even though the conditions were so harsh, the little mermaid resolutely drank the potion. When she arrived at the royal palace, she was shocked to discover that the prince was about to marry a human girl. The prince mistakenly believed that this human girl had saved his life during the shipwreck, but in reality, it was the little mermaid who had rescued him. Unable to speak, the little mermaid could not clarify this misunderstanding. Just as dawn was about to break, the little mermaid's sisters appeared. They told her that there was only one way to survive: she must kill the prince.
