A new theatrical version of the TV anime "Maple Town Story." Johnny, a friend of Patty, a girl living in Maple Town, had always dreamed of flying in the sky after watching birds soar through the air. Just as Patty, along with her best friend Bobby and the young lady Diana, wanted to help make his wish come true, a truck carrying a hot air balloon appeared. The man transporting the balloon intended to take aerial photographs of Maple Town. Patty, Bobby, Diana, and Johnny were allowed to ride in the balloon. However, Johnny suffered from acrophobia and couldn't bring himself to look at the scenery outside. To make matters worse, the villain Gretel boarded the balloon and caused a disturbance, resulting in both Gretel and the pilot being thrown out. Thanks to Johnny's desperate efforts, the balloon landed safely. And in the end, Johnny's acrophobia was cured.
