"Dumbland" is one of the numerous series of experimental short films created by Lynch, divided into 8 chapters, produced from 2001 to May 2002. It is particularly noteworthy for Lynch's praise and fascination with Flash, a more modern production technique, especially its rapid dissemination and unique expressive power. Similar to most of Lynch's cinematic works, "Dumbland" is permeated with violence and absurdity, stupidity and corruption, along with a strong desire for expression and a critical tone.
