"NARUTO: Shippūden" primarily depicts the story of Uzumaki Naruto after two and a half years of training outside with Jiraiya.
Now, the three-year deadline mentioned by Akatsuki has arrived, and its members have begun to take action, making appearances one after another, engaging in the most intense battles with the main characters...
Unknowingly, "NARUTO" has journeyed for seven years, with Naruto slowly growing from a perpetual underdog into a capable ninja who can stand on his own. From a reckless and simple-minded hero, he has step by step advanced toward mastering the path of the ninja. For friendship, for love, for recognition, and for his own ninja way, Naruto has fought tirelessly for a full seven years, growing at the speed of a gale. Amidst the celebratory cheers, good news naturally follows! In early spring 2007, the anime returned to the manga and entered its second chapter. The lengthy and tedious TV anime finally heeded the fans' wishes and returned to the "right path."
Shippūden refers to the story that takes place three years after Sasuke joins Orochimaru, so Shippūden can also be understood as the second part of "NARUTO."
